Buying credits
Four credit packs: 30 for €15, 100 for €39, 300 for €89 and 1,000 for €249 (VAT included). From the Osteria plan up you get an automatic discount on packs, up to 40%. Bought credits last 12 months. You can also turn on automatic top-up, which gives you 10% extra credits.
In short
Credits are the tokens that power Carteia's most capable features: importing the menu from a PDF, automatic translations, generating PDFs, customer emails, food cost. Every month you receive an amount included in your plan and, if you need more, you buy them in packs in under a minute.
Buying in packs is worth it for two reasons: you pay less per credit when the pack is large, and from the Osteria plan up you also get an automatic discount. That way you face busy months (a menu change, email campaigns) without worry.
The packs available
There are four sizes, from the smallest for a quick top-up to the largest for those who run plenty of operations. Prices include VAT, and the bigger the pack, the less you pay per credit.

In practice: the 30-credit pack covers roughly 3 menu imports from a PDF; 100 covers about a dozen imports or fifty PDF exports; 300 covers a full menu change with translations and PDFs; and 1,000 gives you a reserve for months of marketing, events and food cost.
The discount grows with your plan
From the Osteria plan up, every pack costs you less thanks to an automatic discount. You do not have to do anything: the price you see on the Subscription page is already discounted.

The higher your plan, the less you pay for credits: another good reason to grow when your venue calls for it.
How to buy a pack
Go to Dashboard → Subscription and scroll down to the
Buy pay-per-use creditssection.Click the pack you want: the price on the button is already the discounted one for your plan.
Complete the payment with Stripe (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay).
The credits land in your balance within seconds. You are ready to go again.
How long they last and the order they are used in
- Credits included in the plan
- They refresh every month at renewal and do not roll over: the unused ones are lost. They are meant to cover normal monthly use.
- Credits bought separately
- They last 12 months from the purchase and add up between one another. They are your reserve.
- The order Carteia uses them in
- First it uses the included credits of the month, then the ones you bought. And among the bought ones, it starts from the oldest, so you do not risk letting them expire. You see a single balance: Carteia takes care of the maths.
Automatic top-up (with 10% extra)
Do not want to risk running dry in the middle of a campaign? Turn on automatic top-up. It works like this: when your balance drops below 10 credits, Carteia tops up the pack you chose by itself. And as a thank you it gives you 10% extra credits on every automatic top-up.
On the Subscription page open the

Credits work across all your venues
Credits belong to the account, not to a single venue. If you run several restaurants, the balance is one and is shared based on where you use it. Convenient: you top up once and cover the whole group.
What happens if you run out of credits
No panic, nothing important stops:
- The free features keep working normally.
- The pay-per-use features (AI, PDF, email) show a notice inviting you to top up before continuing.
- The public menus always stay online: credits are for internal operations, never for showing the menu to your customers.
