At a glance

Many "integrations" boil down to one practical question: how do I let customers book straight from my website? Carteia has the ready answer: the Booking Widget. It's the card to book a table or request an event, which you paste onto your site in minutes.

The more technical integrations — connecting Carteia to your till, to a management system, or using your own domain without the brand (white-label) — are not included in the list plans: they're built to measure, by talking it over together.

The Booking Widget: the ready-to-use integration

Think of it as a "booking block" that lives on your site. The customer fills it in there, without jumping to another address, and the request lands right in your Carteia dashboard, alongside all the others.

What you can show

• The table booking (the same one you have on your public Carteia page).
• The event request (for those who want to organize a group dinner or a party).
• You can choose which of the two to show first, the light or dark theme, and whether to keep or remove the small Carteia signature at the bottom.

How to put it on the site

   From the dashboard open the integrations section and activate the widget: you generate a connection code (a token). We show it to you once only, so save it right away.

   Indicate the domains of your site where the widget may appear (for example yourrestaurant.com). It will work only there: it's a protection against anyone trying to copy it elsewhere.

   Copy the code snippet (one line of <script>) and paste it into the page of your site where you want the bookings.

   Alternatively, if your site is on WordPress, install the "Carteia Booking" plugin, paste the token into the settings and add the shortcode wherever you prefer.

It's safe for your site

The widget runs in a window isolated from the rest of your site (it can't "touch" the other parts of the page). It appears only on the domains you've authorized, has a request limit so it can't be overwhelmed, and built-in anti-spam. On top of that, in the dashboard you see the last 30 days' statistics: how many times it was loaded and how many requests were blocked.

What you need to activate it

Two things together:

1. A Ristorante plan or higher.
2. The Booking Widget add-on active (9 €/month), which you switch on from the subscription section.

If you have the right plan but not the add-on, you still see the widget preview; to actually publish it you need to activate the add-on.

APIs, till, management system, white-label: how they really work

Here we clear up something important, without beating around the bush.

"Making Carteia talk to other programs" — that's what APIs mean — requires dedicated work. The same goes for those who manage many venues under their own brand (agencies, franchises, chains) and want to hide Carteia entirely behind their brand.

If that's your case, write to us telling us:

• what you want to connect (which till, which management system, which website);
• how many locations are involved;
• what should happen when, for example, you change a price at the till or a booking comes in.

From there we'll work out the right solution together. We don't promise buttons that don't exist: we build what you need.
